From the recording Sojourners
I originally thought that this track was not suitable for the Sojourners project because of the obscure references to Jay Z, Donny Hathaway, X-Clan, and R.A. Schwaller de Lubicz (a French Egyptologist and mystic). I didn’t feel that it “fit” with what I thought was my artistic aim. However, after sitting with it for a while, I realized that this song personifies the convergence of the range of thoughts, styles, and sounds that drive and influence me as an artist. So, I offer it here – with respect to “the architects”.
