“Iconoclast” describes Bediako’s journey from adversity to success, emphasizing personal growth through prayer, self-determination (Kujichagulia), and embracing a new identity that symbolizes triumph over struggles. Guided by faith in a higher power (Subhana wa ta'ala), he also references influential Black literature and historical struggles, linking his personal journey to broader themes of liberation and empowerment. The closing lines emphasize the speaker's role as a truth-teller, blending faith, science, and the arts to inspire and elevate others.
